The new approach to CO2 emission reduction
The hard part of the cooling tower contains a thick pack of PVC slats
From 40,000 cubic meters through these PVC slats, the cooling water runs year after year. After years of cooling, a caco2 deposit will appear on the slats. Every 5 – 10 years, these slats 180 x 30 x 60 cm are replaced in a total of 125,000 pieces. these are manually removed from the tower and then discharged in bulk transportation 80 cubic meters per truck with a weight of 1600 kg per cargo.
We from PVCRECYCLING.NET / CoolTowerRecycling ( CTR ) come with a mobile grinding installation to reduce the costly and much Co2 emitting transport by a factor of 15 trucks to 1 truck per 24000 kg. This is a huge reduction in terms of emissions and transport.
What we do is process the slats directly from the tower in our mobile installation right next to the cooling towers.
This installation shredder washes* and grinds these PVC slats.
This state of the art installation has a water separator installation on board that immediately removes the Caco2 from the washing water and packs it separately.
* We have chosen to wash directly on the PVC in order to prevent dust formation at the place where we grind.
After processing the PVC slats in this mobile installation, the PVC is 100% circularly processed from the place of processing, the PVC regrind can be transported directly to pipe factories across Europe, which is again an additional reduction in CO2 emissions.
Resume the old way was to transport the package to a nearby company who could press this package into bales, then send the bales to incineration plant or to processor who has the possibility to process this product which is usually not easy and then ended in incineration.
